Common questions
Which formats can SuperZip open?
ZIP, 7z, RAR (single volume), TAR, GZIP, BZIP2, XZ, and SuperZip packages (.szp). Password-protected ZIP, 7z and RAR files open with their password.
Which formats can it create?
AES-256 ZIP and 7z files with one password, both free. SuperZip packages (.szp) with one to six passwords, hidden file names, a public cover and an optional opening window.
What are the size limits?
Up to 200 files per package. ZIP and 7z hold up to 512 MB of original data. SuperZip packages hold up to 1 GB. Archives you open can be up to 768 MB, and SuperZip packages up to 1.25 GB. A public cover holds up to 4 pictures or videos, with videos up to 20 MB each.
I lost a password.
Passwords are never stored, so nobody can recover them. Keep passwords somewhere safe and give important keys two holders.
What is a pass-on copy?
After you enter your passwords, SuperZip can save a new package that needs only the passwords still missing. Send it to the next person. Your original package stays as it was.
What does Lock and close do?
It closes the open package and clears the passwords you entered from the app. The package file stays unchanged.
How do plans and the free trial work?
The 3-day trial starts only when you choose it and unlocks every feature. The Open plan reads SuperZip packages. Create plans make them, and Create Unlimited removes the monthly limit. Plans are billed through Google Play, and packages you made keep working when a plan ends.
Does SuperZip work offline?
Yes. The only internet use is a check of the drand public time network when you open a package that has an opening window.
